Most property investors do not take rental law into account when making their investment decisions - they are much more concerned about the movements in the overall property market. As such, it's a lie to saw that tenancy law reform will cause landlords to sell their properties. Even if this does happen, it just makes it easier for someone else to become a home-owner: it doesn't reduce the overall supply of housing.
